Melaky
This collection of wallcoverings draws on the diverse nature of Melaky, a region on the island of Madagascar with dry savannah and grasslands as well as dense mangroves. The mulberry tree and raffia, the two materials that inspired this collection, both grow in Madagascar.
The bark of the mulberry tree and the fibres of the raffia palm are processed using artisanal techniques to create unique designs. These hand-crafted wallcoverings, whose textures and colours evoke the landscape of Melaky, have an unexpectedly organic look and feel. Tana
Tana is a beautiful hand-made fabric crafted from thick raffia strips in varying hues and thicknesses, with natural nubbing. The design was named after Antananarivo, the capital of Madagascar – which the locals also call Tana.
